This report will show a breakdown of ICD ACHI codes used as either a primary or additional code within the procedure coding screen for patients within the given date range.

Click on Reports in the main menu, and then More Reports in the sub menu to show a list of various statistical reports

Click on the ICD Proc Analysis button.

Episodes Between Enter the date range for the report

Based on Select Admissions or Discharges

Constraints Select a particular fund or surgeon using the drop down boxes otherwise by default it will select All Funds and All Surgeons

Statistics on Use the 2 drop down boxes to specify the range of ICD Procedure codes to view data on. As a default, the whole range of codes will be selected. If you are just searching on one code then make both drop down boxes show the same code.

Output To Screen (to view), printer or file for an excel spreadsheet. When printer is selected, the drop down box becomes active and you can select any printer from the list.

Click on the OK button.

When outputting to an excel file, the file will be created in the tmp folder within the SimDay folder of your computer. The typical path would be c:\SimDay\tmp\. The filename will be called ICDProc_YYYYMMDD.xls, where YYYY= Year, MM= Month & DD= Day

The above report shows a list of ICD Procedure codes that occurred within your selected date range and code range. It shows a breakdown of instances of that code for each gender and how many out of those were the principal procedure.

The ‘Day Cases’ column shows how many of those were ‘Same Day’ Patients and the ‘Bed Days’ shows the total amount of overnight bed days for overnight patients.

The bottom of the report shows the totals, as well as a count of episodes within your date range that were not counted as they didn’t fall under the code range you entered.
